Job Summary

As the Child Care Center Assistant Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of young children while supporting the Center Director in daily operations. Your leadership will inspire a nurturing environment that promotes learning and development. You will engage with staff, parents, and the community to ensure that our center meets the highest standards of care and education.

What you'll do

Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance the center's educational programs and services. Manage budgeting processes to ensure financial health and sustainability of the center. Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and effective teaching practices. Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and quality standards. Collaborate with families to create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages parental involvement in their children's education. Lead staff meetings and training sessions to promote teamwork and continuous improvement. Monitor children's progress and implement individualized plans to support their development. Coordinate with external partners for community engagement initiatives.

Basic qualifications

Proven experience in education administration or child care management.

Preferred qualifications

Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team development and collaboration. Teaching experience that showcases your ability to connect with children and foster their learning.

About us

Growing Room Tallahassee is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our administrative team as an Assistant Director. All applicants must have their DCF hours complete, have a degree or FCCPC, and a Florida Director Credential. 1 year of childcare management is preferred.

This position requires flexibility of work hours, a great teamwork approach, communication skills, basic computer knowledge and good work attendance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
