We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Group Leader to oversee and support groups of children in a dynamic educational and recreational environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience working with children, and a passion for fostering growth and development. This role involves managing activities, ensuring safety, and creating an engaging atmosphere that promotes learning, creativity, and positive behavior. The Group Leader will play a vital role in supporting children's emotional, social, and educational needs through effective management and nurturing guidance.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage groups of children during various activities, including classroom sessions, recreational programs, and special events. Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and learning objectives. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary. Enforce behavior management strategies to foster respectful and cooperative behavior among children. Collaborate with staff to plan and execute educational programs aligned with early childhood education standards. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns. Assist in setting up activities, organizing materials, and maintaining cleanliness of the activity areas. Support children with special needs or individualized plans as required, demonstrating sensitivity and understanding of special education principles. Promote positive interactions through Christian counseling or other supportive approaches when applicable.

Experience

Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, camp counseling, tutoring, or childcare is highly desirable. Background in classroom management, behavior management, or childhood development enhances effectiveness in this role. Experience with sports coaching, theater activities, babysitting, or similar roles involving children is beneficial. Bilingual is desired. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and experience working with students of various age groups is preferred. Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary. Pay: $20.00 per hour
