Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Groundsman to join our Tree Service team at TreeBoss. This role is essential for supporting arborists and tree care specialists in maintaining healthy, beautiful landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a growing interest in horticulture, landscaping, and tree care, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills. This position offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in tree trimming, landscape maintenance, and equipment operation within a dynamic outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and removal operations using appropriate tools and techniques Support arborists with rigging and climbing tasks to ensure safe and efficient work processes Operate bucket trucks and other landscaping equipment safely under supervision Help with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general groundskeeping duties to enhance property aesthetics Maintain safety standards by following proper procedures during all tree care activities Assist with the setup and breakdown of work zones, including the use of GIS mapping tools for site planning when necessary Support the team in equipment maintenance and ensuring tools are clean and functional Contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting hazards promptly

Qualifications

Growing experience or interest in horticulture, landscaping, or related fields preferred Knowledge of tree care practices, including tree trimming and pruning techniques Familiarity with rigging, bucket operation, or bucket trucks is a plus but not required; training will be provided Basic understanding of GIS or landscape mapping tools is advantageous Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills Prior lawn care or landscape maintenance experience is beneficial but not mandatory Commitment to safety standards and continuous learning in arboriculture practices

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
