Description:

The position is responsible for the care, maintenance, and small repairs at the Sugaright facility.

Performs all daily cleanup of exterior of the building such as trash, clean up from spills, sweep up after delivery trucks.

Performs, basic carpentry, repairs, painting, power washing, operation of a floor scrubber.

Performs offloading of materials with the use of a forklift.

Maintaining cleanliness of the warehouse storage area and working along with the production crew to assist with cleanups and trash removal. Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

A. Education and Experience:

• Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment.
• Previous food industry experience is preferred.

B. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be adaptable and flexible.
• Ability to communicate and understand expectations for the role.
• Ability to work independently.

Nonessential Qualifications:

• Ability to speak and write English

Materials and Equipment Directly Used:

• Forklifts and other manufacturing equipment for the receiving, movement and management of materials in totes or bags on pallets if needed.

Physical Demands:

• Requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and climbing (ladders, aerial lifts)
• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate manufacturing equipment, keyboard, copier, various other equipment.
• Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and laboratory results.
• Requires lifting up to 50+ pounds. Requires exposure to machines, chemicals, and solvents.

• Work environment can be hot, humid, dusty, or cold depending on the time of year. Employees may be required to work in or outside of the building depending on the needs of the role.
