Job Position: Groundskeeper (Full Time Position).
The candidate must have experience in repairing & maintaining garden power tools and comprehensive experience with irrigation systems.
Summary of Position:
The groundskeeper shall perform a variety of tasks which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following:
- Care for the outside of the main house.
- Ground maintenance using hand or power tools/equipment.
- Mowing, trimming, fertilizing, digging, and raking.
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems.
- Fertilizing vegetation and preparing grounds for seasonal changes.
- Caring for and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Removing trash and litter from the property grounds.
- Sweeping and pressure washing pathways and buildings.
- Maintain and organize compost.
- Picking up supplies or materials from local hardware and/or landscaping stores.
Job Skills and Requirements:
- Experience of 2 years or more.
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems.
- Experience operating small power tools/tractors/shredders/lawnmowers and other power equipment.
- Experience in fixing power tools and farm equipment and maintaining them.
- Able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of work.
- A pro-active and can-do attitude.
- Strong work ethic.
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift and handle 60 pounds safely.
- A valid driver\'s license and an SSN are required.
Conditions:
- The property is a drug and tobacco-free zone.
- Under no conditions shall the groundskeeper intake illegal or legal drugs, smoke cigarettes, chew tobacco, or drink alcohol on the premises.
- The candidate must respect the premises and leave no personal belongings behind.
