Job Summary

We are seeking a DEDICATED and EXPERIENCED Project Manager with experience opening a grocery store.

Wholefoods and Publix experience preferably.

Responsibilities

Oversee all phases of new store openings, remodels, or expansions -- from initial concept to grand opening. Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure goals are met on schedule and within scope. Coordinate permits, inspections, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborate with architects, contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal departments to ensure seamless project execution. Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and track procurement of fixtures, equipment, and supplies. Lead cross-functional teams including construction, merchandising, operations, and IT. Develop project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular financial reporting to leadership. Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient resource allocation. Coordinate store layout, equipment installation, and merchandising setup. Ensure operational teams receive proper training and resources before store opening. Oversee implementation of safety, sanitation, and operational standards. Proactively identify potential risks or delays and develop mitigation plans. Resolve issues quickly to keep projects on track. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality of work. Maintain clear documentation, project logs, and regular status reports for stakeholders. Ensure the finished store aligns with brand standards and customer experience goals.

Qualifications

Proven experience in retail management, preferably within a grocery store setting. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in recruiting and training staff. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence. Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions regarding product selection and pricing strategies. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays. Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
