We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include assisting with product stocking, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the overall appearance of the grocery store. Bilingual in Mandarin a huge plus

Must be available 8am to 3pm , Work schedules will vary with days off

Duties

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their shopping needs. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling. Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels to ensure product availability. Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and enhance customer engagement. Utilize merchandising skills to create attractive displays that drive sales. Assist in training and supervising new associates as needed. Upsell products by effectively communicating promotions and special offers to customers. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including aisles and checkout areas. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner. Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs throughout shift.

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store operations is preferred. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transactions. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demos is highly desirable. A background in supervising or training staff can be beneficial for career advancement within our organization.
