Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grocery Associates to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our grocery store by managing inventory, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and organized shopping environment. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting.

Seeking meat clerks, hot deli clerks, seafood clerks, grocery clerks, bakery clerks

Pay starting at $16.00

Manage inventory levels and assist with inventory control processes. Utilize RF scanners for tracking stock and ensuring accurate inventory records. Operate pallet jacks to load and unload products safely. Assist in stocking shelves with produce and other grocery items. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including cleaning tasks as needed. Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and product locations. Participate in merchandising efforts to enhance product visibility and sales. Engage in packaging activities for various products as required. Support shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely processing of incoming and outgoing goods. Perform retail math calculations for accurate pricing and transactions at the cashier station. Experience in hot deli making foods, baking from scratch.

Skills

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficient in inventory management techniques and practices. Experience with RF scanners, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed throughout the workday. Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members. Familiarity with retail sales principles, including merchandising strategies.
