Responsibilities

Greet guests with a warm, friendly smile as they arrive, making them feel welcomed and appreciated Direct guests to their designated areas or seating, providing clear and helpful information Manage guest flow efficiently during busy times, ensuring smooth entry and exit processes Answer guest inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm, offering assistance or information as needed Maintain a clean and organized greeting area to enhance the guest experience Collaborate with team members to coordinate seating arrangements and reservations when applicable Uphold excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries over the phone, providing clear and courteous communication Support overall guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary

Skills

Previous experience as a host or host in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to assist and engage guests Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with diverse audiences Experience in food service or restaurant environments is advantageous Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of hotel or guest services can be beneficial for certain venues Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential Demonstrated hospitality experience with a positive attitude and proactive approach
