General Summary of Duties:
Responsible for greeting guests, confirming reservations (if applicable) and escorting guests to tables in an upbeat, friendly, and courteous manner.
Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):
Greet incoming and departing guests in a warm and friendly manner
Manage reservation system
Ensure reservations are prioritized and seated in a timely manner
Strive to accommodate walk-in guests whenever possible
Seat guest(s) in the dining and bar areas while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff
Clearly and politely communicate with guests when delays and/or waits occur
Maintain an organized floor by quickly and efficiently seating guests according to hotel standards
Communicate pertinent reservation notes to appropriate staff members
Answer phones in a prompt and professional manner and direct calls as applicable
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Position Requirements:
Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and on the phone
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, staff and management
Working knowledge of OpenTable reservation system
Knowledge, understanding and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums and other instructions
Education:
