Job Description

As Farm Operations Manager, you'll work closely with our Head Grower to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the farm. This includes supervising staff, coordinating workflows, maintaining greenhouse systems, and handling general upkeep. This is a key leadership role ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, and mechanical know-how. Understanding of greenhouse production cycles is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day greenhouse and outdoor production activities Supervise staff during planting, spacing, moving, and shipping Oversee irrigation scheduling, heating systems, and mechanical equipment Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and operating efficiently Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and materials Perform basic maintenance and repairs or coordinate service when needed Assist with tasks such as transplanting, pest monitoring, and order fulfillment Communicate daily with the Head Grower regarding priorities and issues Track labor and maintenance activities as needed
Qualifications

3+ years experience managing staff and coordinating workflows Familiarity with seasonal cycles in bedding plant production Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot systems Able to work in hot, humid, and fast-paced environments Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods Valid driver's license require Forklift certification is a plus, but not required Mechanical experience is a plus Spanish language skills a plus but not required
