Position Summary

We seek to hire a positive, energetic, and self-motivated graphic designer with experience in print design and production layout. This individual must have a strong understanding of the print industry and be highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and thrive in a fast pass work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Meet with customers to discuss new design projects and recommend products to best serve customer's needs. Execute designs in a timely manner managing billable time across multiple orders. Proof customers through email. Manage all design changes and new requests from customers across multiple orders. Prepress customer supplied files to ensure they are ready for production. Verify file will print at optimal quality by ensuring print specifications match output criteria. Communicate with customers if supplied files do not meet production standards. Maintain website and update products and templates as needed.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Back up customer service and other departments as needed. Design and assist with monthly marketing strategies. Stay up-to-date on the latest printing and design technologies and materials by networking with other professionals, vendors, and attending workshops. Contribute to high-level discussions about department operations and growth with manager. Take initiative to go above & beyond the job description for the betterment of the company.

Technical Qualifications

Candidates must have 3-5 years design experience, preferably in the print industry. Candidates must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, as well as prepress software.

Must be a team player; being able to collaborate with other departments to realize company goals and exceed customer expectations.
Must be able to communicate openly with team members and management about ideas, problems, needs, etc. Must maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Hours

Monday - Friday: 8:00 to 5:00 pm Candidates may occasionally work nights or weekends, some over time as work load permits.
