Job Description

The

Center Associate/Graphic Designer delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment, operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and designing/printing materials, as well as maintaining

point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options, and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

MUST have the ability and willingness to become an Alabama Notary.

The

ideal candidate has previous experience with THE UPS STORE or Graphics.



Others should have strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. Self-motivated! It would also be nice to find someone who is fluent in Spanish.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, The UPS Store team members, and leadership Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends Operates all equipment, software, and devices expertly and is willing to teach others Maintains a clean and safe working environment Boxes and ships products when necessary Calls customers to arrange pickup of products Checks in inventory Helps customers with expert boxing and packaging, selling the appropriate products to ship materials safely and efficiently Performs a final QA check of all sign products to verify accuracy and correctness Provides completed documentation for shipping Provides prompt, efficient shipping expertise Takes ownership of any shipping problems and offers viable solutions All other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS



High school diploma or GED required Retail/customer service experience Good communication and people skills Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites Outstanding phone skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math Prompt, reliable, and responsible Able to lift 50+ pounds Good communication and people skills Pass a simple drug screen test One to two years of experience or a two-year degree in graphic design or a related field Retail/customer service experience Shipping experience desired High energy level Highly organized and detail-oriented Must be an energetic self-starter who is driven to succeed Prompt, reliable, and responsible Willingness to become Public Notary Available to work on Weekends
