Graphic Designer - Remote

GRAPHEK is seeking a graphic designer with 3+ years of experience, ideally in a design agency environment. This fully remote role is perfect for a conceptual thinker who loves exploring ideas on paper, collaborating with a close-knit creative team, and bringing smart, strategic design to life.

Projects range from branding and visual identity to reports, magazines, motion graphics, websites, and custom illustration. The Role

You will work closely with the Creative Director, Art Director, and fellow designers to develop concept-driven solutions that are clear, distinctive, and meaningful. We value designers who sketch before jumping into software, think beyond aesthetics, and can articulate the reasoning behind their creative decisions.

Responsibilities

Participate in concept development and brainstorming sessions

Explore ideas through sketching and visual experimentation

Design and execute a wide range of creative projects

Present visual solutions with clear rationale

Collaborate with the Creative Director, Art Director, Designers, and Copywriters

Take ownership of assigned client deliverables

Support client presentations and relationship building

Contribute to GRAPHEK social media

Attend select conferences or networking events to represent GRAPHEK

Qualifications

Conceptual designer with strong visual problem-solving skills

Marketing and brand-aware mindset

Excellent layout and typography skills

Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

Knowledge of Asana, Slack, PowerPoint, Canva, and Figma

Strong communication and writing skills

Detail-oriented with excellent time management

Self-motivated in a remote environment

3+ years experience in a design agency

BA, BFA, MA, or MFA in Graphic Design

Experience with motion graphics or animation is a plus

Front-end web design experience is a plus

Candidates in Washington DC, Maryland, Northen Virginia, or willing to relocate
