Overview

Midwest Engravers is seeking a creative, detail-oriented

Design Assistant

to support our custom engraving and printing operations. This person will assist in designing personalized artwork for

Etsy customers, corporate clients, and bulk orders

, ensuring that every design meets brand standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the lead designer and production team to create and prepare artwork for engraving, UV printing, and laser etching. Design and format customer orders placed through Etsy, Shopify, and corporate portals. Review order notes, artwork, and proofs for accuracy and quality before production. Communicate with clients to clarify design requests, approve proofs, and ensure satisfaction. Create mockups and proofs based on customer personalization details and style preferences. Maintain organized digital files, templates, and design libraries for efficiency. Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are optimized for laser and print systems. Assist in updating Etsy and website product listings with new design options, photos, and templates.

Qualifications

Experience with design software (CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, or similar). Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand and production guidelines. Excellent communication and time management skills. Understanding of engraving, UV printing, or personalization design preferred (training provided). Comfortable managing multiple projects with short turnaround times. Basic familiarity with Etsy or Shopify platforms is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
