Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Grading Supervisor to oversee grading operations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management. This role involves working and leading a grading crew, ensuring project adherence to safety standards, and maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle. The Grading Supervisor will play a critical role in coordinating their own grading projects, by managing/leading a crew, reading and comprehending site drawings, and ensuring the successful completion of grading tasks aligned with project specifications.

Duties



Supervise and coordinate grading activities on construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide grading operations Operate general site equipment (Excavator, bulldozer, trackhoe, GPS, etc.) Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet deadlines and quality standards Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to coordinate activities and resolve issues promptly. Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets industry standards and client expectations Supervise a team of skilled workers, providing guidance, training, and daily project guidance. Ensure proper documentation of work progress, safety incidents, and compliance reports

Qualifications



Proven experience in commercial construction sitework and management with a focus on grading or earthwork projects Have a valid drivers license with clean driving record Operate equipment (Excavator, bulldozer, trackhoe, GPS rover and machine control (topcon), etc.) Supervising experience in a construction environment is essential. Employee must be willing to lead a crew of 3-4 guys. Hands-on experience with construction tools like GPS and other testing equipment Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively under tight deadlines Knowledge of contracts, budgeting processes, quality control procedures, and construction site safety standards Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints accurately Strong communication skills coupled with problem-solving abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
