Employee-Owned North Shore Mechanical Contractors is looking to fill our GPS Site Surveyor Position. We are willing to train the right candidate. The pay range for this position is $24-$30 per hour and is based on experience. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY JOB DESCRIPTION: GPS Site Surveyor working with Trimble machine, to locate piping and sleeves in their proper spots. He/she is required to maintain a high level of accuracy and safety in working conditions. He/she is also responsible for the proper care and maintenance of their tools and equipment. SKILLS REQUIRED: (Willing to Train)

• Plan reading

• Good communication skills

• Basic knowledge in MS-Office (Word and Excel).

• CAD skills and plumbing code/trade knowledge are a plus.

RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• Accurately layout points onsite during construction operations, verify accuracy of completed work before leaving the project.
• Schedules and attends a pre-construction meeting through our field ops with the General Contractors field engineer/lay-out designee to verify project layout controls and methods to ensure that our work is installed using the same controls and methods.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of the Trimble equipment and necessary rods.
• Ensures that all the layout instruments used are properly calibrated/recalibrated as required by the manufacturer\xe2\x80\x99s recommendations or as needed by jobsite events.

Must pass pre-employment CORI and drug screen as well as complete and pass safety training in a timely manner.
