Summary

Invictus is seeking a Google Cloud Operations Engineering Lead to guide the design, build, and operation of an enterprise-scale Google Cloud environment. This role will lead the setup of Google Cloud Operations during and after migration from AWS, embedding best-in-class practices for observability, automation, and reliability. The successful candidate will bring strong technical leadership, deep Google Cloud expertise, and a proven record of building operational maturity within large, complex enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the setup and maturation of Google Cloud Operations during and after AWS-to-GCP migration Define and implement operational standards, policies, and runbooks for enterprise GCP environments Establish robust monitoring, incident response, and service reliability frameworks Partner with architecture, migration, and security teams to ensure alignment and stability Build automation for deployment, scaling, patching, and compliance Mentor operations teams in DevOps and SRE methodologies Manage relationships across product, engineering, and business functions to maintain operational excellence

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years in Cloud Operations or Site Reliability Engineering, with at least 3 in leadership Deep technical expertise in Google Cloud (Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, networking) Hands-on experience operating workloads in AWS and leading migrations to GCP Proven capability with infrastructure-as-code and automation (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitOps) Proficiency in observability tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana) Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance frameworks Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:

Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud operations Familiarity with SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets) Experience in regulated or high-security industries

Pay: $230,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
