job summary:
This role is responsible to aid in the design, development, and maintenance of systems standards and platforms and will do so under the guidance of their Manager. This position will assist in the review/assessment of enterprise needs and may conduct feasibility studies for projects and may assist in the evaluation and selection of global systems standards. This team member is responsible primarily for the assessment and optimization of monitoring platforms, build documentation, patch management, backup management, and will align work in these areas with current standards and enterprise needs. They are also responsible for developing requests for proposal, evaluating vendor products, and making recommendations on selection. This team member may function in a position providing guidance, direction to other IT enterprise functions.

responsibilities:

• Provide second tier technical support to global business units and its other information technology teams to resolve systems issues and to support the implementation of new systems projects. Support systems team activities related to merger and acquisitions projects.

• Collaborate with external/internal customers and Global IT teams to analyze information needs and functional requirements for the implementation of compute/storage/infrastructure systems

• Maintains best practice aligned systems builds and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.

• Evaluate, review and if appropriate, implement recommendations for improvements to existing systems team procedures and documentation allowing for efficient and cost-effective delivery of highly available services

• Resolve incident response and service request tickets as they arise and ensure timely resolution
