Goldman Sachs is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join our Global Banking & Markets division. As an integral part of the team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of cutting-edge AI and Machine Learning (ML) technologies at the firm.



In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various AI/ML domains, including but not limited to machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, time series analysis, and recommender systems. As a senior expert on this team, you will help address the unique challenges that arise in machine learning systems within the financial domain. Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborating effectively with colleagues to advance production machine-learning systems and applications. Conceptualizing, experimenting with, and assessing AI-based software systems. Developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality, production-ready code. Demonstrating technical leadership by taking charge of cross-team projects. Developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to enhance AI systems. Contributing to boost developer productivity with Generative AI.

Required Qualifications:

A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or equivalent relevant industry experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry that demonstrates your expertise. Proficiency in contemporary programming languages like Python, C++, or Java.

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$300000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
