Goldman Sachs is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join our Global Banking & Markets division. As an integral part of the team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of cutting-edge AI and Machine Learning (ML) technologies at the firm.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various AI/ML domains, including but not limited to machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, time series analysis, and recommender systems. As a senior expert on this team, you will help address the unique challenges that arise in machine learning systems within the financial domain. Join us in redefining the boundaries of what's possible in the intersection of quantitative research and artificial intelligence!
Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating effectively with colleagues to advance production machine-learning systems and applications.
Conceptualizing, experimenting with, and assessing AI-based software systems.
Developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality, production-ready code.
Demonstrating technical leadership by taking charge of cross-team projects.
Developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to enhance AI systems.
Contributing to boost developer productivity with Generative AI.
Required Qualifications:
A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry that demonstrates your expertise.
Proficiency in contemporary programming languages like Python, C++, or Java.

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$300000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
