Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in glass installation and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints and work effectively on various projects. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in residential and commercial settings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Install glass in windows, doors, and other fixtures according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements. Fabricate glass pieces as needed for specific installations. Perform caulking and sealing to ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing. Execute frame carpentry tasks related to glass installation. Hang doors and install fixtures as part of the overall project scope. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and handymen, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Glazier or in a similar role within the construction or renovation industry. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Strong skills in glass installation, fabrication, and repair techniques. Familiarity with frame carpentry, trim carpentry, door hanging, and fixture installation. Ability to perform caulking tasks effectively for weatherproofing purposes. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and perform manual labor.
