Duties and Responsiblities

Digitizes, edits, and maintains new and existing GIS datasets within an enterprise (ArcGIS SDE) environment Maintains and updates datasets related to Next Generation 911 Develops, implements, and maintains GIS tools, workflows, and solutions that support departmental efficiency and innovation Works closely with City staff, external agencies, and the public to provide GIS services Assists in deploying and supporting mobile GIS applications for field operations across departments Collects and verifies data using survey-grade GNSS equipment, ESRI field applications, and RTK drone technology Other duties as assigned

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Geography, Cartography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred A minimum of three years of experience in GIS database design, editing, and analysis is preferred with experience in government or public sector applications considered especially valuable Valid and appropriate driver's license and any other certifications required of the job
