The Enterprise Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining the City of Phoenix's GIS applications, tools, HUB website, and providing access to shared information, data, and applications for internal stakeholders and the public.


This role requires strong programming skills, familiarity with Esri GIS software, spatial data, integrating GIS with IT systems and servers, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to meet project objectives.


This is a remote position.

Proficiency in Esri's ArcGIS suite Knowledge of cloud-based GIS solutions. Knowledge of IT systems and platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with web mapping libraries.

SALARY


----------




Pay Range: $82,451.20 to $121,825.60 annually.


Hiring Range: $82,451.20 to $110,510.40 annually.

Pay Range Explanation:



Pay range is the entire compensation range for the position classification. Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.

Internal Only:

Please understand that this is pay grade 064. If selected, your salary offer will be based on the applicable promotion or demotion worksheet in accordance with the City Pay Ordinance.

Promotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade increase. Demotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade decrease. Lateral transfers occur when there is no change to the last two digits of the pay grade. When there is a change in the first digit of the pay grade, there may also be a change to your classification or unit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


--------------------------



Three years of experience in applications analysis and programming, systems analysis and design; including project leader responsibility. Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, business administration, mathematics, or related field. Other combinations of experience and education, which meet the minimum requirements, may be substituted. All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:

A bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, plus MS or Cert in GIS. Experience in Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS. Experience with version control systems. SQL, and experience with spatial databases.
