Intern Description:

Girl Scouts of Hawai'i is looking for interns who are looking to strengthen their child development skills or their non-profit business skills. This internship opportunity pays a stipend of $200/month. This opportunity is hybrid remote, and a laptop will be provided. Project hours will range between 10-15 hours per week sometime between 7:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. Hours will be agreed upon between the intern and their supervisor. Interns will commit to a reasonable learning time frame, usually an academic year or fraction thereof. Interns must be willing and able to pass a background and reference check. College credits can be made available per the request and oversight of the intern's school faculty
What You Will Do:

Learn the fundamental duties within one or more departments of the Girl Scouts Team, which includes but is not limited to: child development, non-profit administration, marketing, or fund development. Learn about our national and local processes and how they contribute to the success of our organization. Learn how girls and adults are recruited into the Girl Scout movement. Learn about how customer care is provided to ensure a quality Girl Scout experience. Learn about the volunteer experience and how to provide relevant support. Learn how to organize and execute programs, camps and activities for youth. Learn how to provide administrative support for youth programming. Learn about our product and retail initiatives and provide relevant support. Complete projects relevant to our internship for your portfolio. Provide additional relevant support.
Who You Are:

Current college/graduate school student in a field related to business, sociology, education, or communications. Interested in a career in nonprofit administration or child development. Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail. Project management skills with the ability to self-motivate. Ability to manage upwards and evaluate ability to take on more work when ready.
