50 % Dramatics Director

Position Overview:

GHS is seeking a passionate and dynamic Dramatics Director to lead our extracurricular theater program. This role includes directing the Fall Play and the Spring One Acts, fostering a creative environment for students to explore their artistic talents and develop their skills in theater production.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct and manage all aspects of the Fall Play and Spring One Acts. Collaborate with students to develop their acting, directing, and production skills. Organize auditions, casting, and rehearsals. Create and maintain rehearsal and performance schedules. Encourage student involvement in all aspects of theater production, including set design, costumes, and lighting. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes creativity and teamwork. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration. Attend relevant meetings and coordinate with other staff as needed.

Qualifications:

Preference will be given to current GHS teachers. Strong background in theater arts, directing, and stage management. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to engage and inspire students in the art of dramatic expression. Experience with high school theater production is highly desirable.

SALARY:

Per extracurricular schedule (Group #10) and experience
