We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide vital support to individuals and families facing various challenges, including behavioral health issues, child welfare concerns, and substance abuse. This role involves developing tailored intervention plans, offering counseling, and collaborating with community resources to promote well-being and stability. The Social Worker will play a key role in crisis intervention and workforce development initiatives, ensuring clients receive comprehensive care and guidance.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs related to behavioral health, addiction, child welfare, and other social services.
Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to clients experiencing urgent situations.
Deliver addiction counseling and behavioral health support tailored to individual circumstances.
Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to motivate clients toward positive change.
Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns as needed, fostering professional growth within the team.
Assist clients with navigating programs such as Section 8 housing, Medicare, and other social services.
Collaborate with community agencies, healthcare providers, and government programs to coordinate care.
Support workforce development efforts by providing guidance and resources for skill-building and employment readiness.
Maintain detailed case records in compliance with agency policies and confidentiality standards.
Advocate for clients' rights and ensure their needs are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
Proven experience in crisis intervention, addiction counseling, or behavioral health services preferred.
Strong knowledge of social work principles, child welfare policies, Section 8 housing programs, Medicare, and workforce development initiatives.
Excellent crisis management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Effective communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor clients from diverse backgrounds.
Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a social services setting.
Experience working with children or providing childcare support is desirable.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to client success.
