to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will support our mapping, data analysis, and spatial data management efforts. You will work with GIS tools to create maps, analyze datasets, and support a variety of projects that require accurate geospatial information.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, process, and analyze
geospatial datasets
from multiple sources.
Create
maps, layers, and visualizations
using GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.).
Maintain and update
GIS databases
, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Perform
spatial analysis
and generate reports to support project decisions.
Convert data between formats such as
Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML, CSV
, etc.
Support teams with
data validation, quality checks, and map requests
.
Collaborate with project managers, analysts, and field teams to deliver GIS outputs.
Document workflows, maintain project files, and follow internal GIS standards.
Required Qualifications
Must
live in the United States
(this is required).
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in
, coordinate systems, and projections.
Basic understanding of
remote sensing data
, mapping, and spatial analysis.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
Experience with Python, ModelBuilder, or geoprocessing tools.
Knowledge of SQL or geodatabases (PostGIS, File Geodatabase, etc.).
Experience with GPS data, imagery analysis, or spatial modeling.
Previous remote GIS or mapping experience.
