WIRX is seeking 2 entry to mid-level Geologists or Hydrogeologists to join our team for a large Well Construction project located on the north side of Lake Okeechobee, in Okeechobee, FL. Candidate/s must possess a degree in Geology / Hydrogeology or similar with experience in field construction and water resource related projects/structures. Successful candidates will provide project oversight, material logging, soils/rock classification and reporting, field inspections and QA/QC, and consulting related services.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

. Project support including supervision of field investigation programs and inspections.

Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.

Provide observations and recommendations for site construction activities.

Prepare daily reports and documentation, geological logs and correspondence, and construction specification support.

Complete construction phase field inspections / reports as needed.

Interact directly with client and project team communicating project progress and findings and recommendations

Work closely with senior-level project managers to gain additional experience for more complex and larger projects

Schedule:

10 - 12 hour shifts Monday to Friday (4 to 5 days/week)

Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Abilities Requirements/Preferred:

B.S. in Geology / Hydrogeology or related field

Entry Level to Mid/Sr. level Experience - 0 to 8 years in Water Resource and Earthen Structure construction, and/or general Construction Inspection/Oversight

Licensed PG, or the ability to obtain through time

Knowledge of the practical application of science and technology-specifically geological and hydrogeological. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design requirements of construction.

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong leadership ability and personal initiative

Knowledge geological / hydrogeological principles and processes.

Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with AutoCAD a plus

Valid Driver's License with safe driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
