The General Manager - Midwest is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational performance of the company's parking operations across the Midwest region, encompassing Milwaukee, Chicago, and Minneapolis markets. This role combines operational excellence, financial accountability, business development, and client relationship management to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency across a diverse portfolio of parking facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Provide strategic direction and day-to-day oversight of City Operations Managers across Milwaukee, Chicago, and Minneapolis
Ensure consistent operational standards, safety protocols, and customer service excellence across all facilities within the region
Drive operational efficiency initiatives and implement best practices across the regional portfolio
Conduct regular site visits and performance reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and client agreements
Lead recruitment, development, and performance management of city-level operational teams
Financial Management
Own full P&L responsibility for the Midwest region, including revenue optimisation, cost control, and margin improvement
Manage annual budgets for the region in collaboration with the National Director of Operations
Monitor financial performance against budget and implement corrective actions as required
Identify and execute opportunities for revenue enhancement and operational cost savings
Business Development
Lead business development activities across the region, working collaboratively with dedicated BD executives
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and target markets
Develop and execute regional growth strategies aligned with company objectives
Prepare and present proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities
Account Management
Serve as primary relationship owner for key clients and property owners within the region
Conduct regular client meetings to ensure satisfaction and identify expansion opportunities
Address escalated client concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Develop strategic account plans for major clients to ensure retention and growth
Contract Management
Lead renewal negotiations for existing parking management agreements
Work with legal contractor and finance team to structure competitive and profitable contract terms
Ensure timely execution of contract renewals and expansions
Monitor contract performance and compliance across the regional portfolio
Required Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in parking operations, facilities management, or related service industry
Proven track record managing multi-site operations with full P&L accountability
Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management
Experience managing geographically dispersed teams across multiple markets
Skills and Competencies
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
Excellent leadership and people management capabilities

Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred

Ability to travel regularly throughout the Midwest region (Milwaukee, Chicago, Minneapolis)
Valid driver's licence
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and parking management systems
Knowledge of local market dynamics and regulatory environment across the region

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
