Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise assistant managers and all employees during scheduled shifts; including station assignment and directing work of employees on shift; responsible for coaching, guiding, and disciplining employees and assistant managers. Conducts final interviews with candidates; makes final hiring decisions. Oversees the scheduling of all employees, including shift in and out; manage absences. Conduct staff reviews in a timely manner and oversees the execution of other assistant manager's assigned reviews for completion. Ensure that all employees (new and seasoned) are fully trained; understand their responsibilities and adhere to HUNTER'S ALE HOUSE standards. Responsible for ongoing training and development of all assistant managers. Recognize, develop and mentor employees for personal and professional growth. Create and sustain a culture that inspires employees to maintain the highest standards of guest service. Manages by being accessible and active in all areas of the restaurant in order to ensure standards are met, proper procedures are taking place and guests are satisfied through proper execution. Manage by being mobile and active throughout the entire restaurant during shift. Necessary to interact with guests and manage all employees. Ensures teamwork and a positive work environment exists among employees so as to be an employer of choice and to create an excellent guest experience. Manage restaurant's operations and ensures operational standards are met by reporting assistant managers as well. This includes the opening and closing of operations and operations during shift; all in accordance with HUNTER'S ALE HOUSE standards. Ensure that the restaurant is "like new," clean, sanitary, organized, and well maintained" at all times. Validates other assistant managers do the same. Adhere to all HUNTER'S ALE HOUSE standard operating procedures and ensure that food items are prepared according to HUNTER'S ALE HOUSE standards. This includes all areas of the restaurant and kitchen operations. Generate and sustain an exceptional guest experience; value of the meal outweighs the price on the check, all orders are correct and delivered piping hot, and that the food and beer/beverage/bar experience is excellent. Ensures food quality of drinks and food delivered to guests meet HUNTER'S ALE HOUSE standards. Responsible for overseeing production of cocktails and watching for accuracy of final product produced. Ensure a safe working environment; that safety procedures, OSHA standards, and health standards are followed; and that that any injuries are managed and reported properly. Responsible for working with the management team on the ordering of all products and food associated with the running of the restaurant. Work with management team on strategic goals related to restaurant operations including: meeting sales and operating cost goals, planning guest events, and coordinating FOH and HOH work and activities. Responsible for the financial results of the restaurant and that all cash handling procedures and counts are met by each member of the management team.

Pay close attention to detail, take initiative and supervise others effectively, demonstrate responsible behavior and exercise good judgement, act and dress professionally at all times, have a positive attitude, display a strong commitment to HUNTER'S ALE HOUSE Standards, understand and follow all procedures and standards of HUNTER'S ALE HOUSE, attend work consistently and on time.

Educational Requirements:

5 years of hospitality or related experience preferred. Must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends and holidays.
