MML is continuously expanding, managing, and owning hotels, such as the Hotel Saint Vincent in New Orleans, with new projects in Texas, Colorado, and California currently under development. We also provide F&B consultation for the Austin Proper Hotel, overseeing three restaurants, in-room dining, and banquets throughout the property. MML owns and operates all its properties and only takes on projects that align with our vision and values.

What we\'re looking for:

The General Manager of Hotel Saint Vincent will function as the primary strategic business leader of the property with responsibility for all aspects of the operation, including guest and employee satisfaction, financial performance, sales and revenue generation, and delivering a return on investment to MML and property ownership. The General Manager verifies the implementation of service strategy and initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations, and increasing profit and market share. He/she/they will hold the property leadership team accountable for strategy execution and guides their individual professional development. The General Manager must be actively involved in the local community and committed to building strong relationships with local officials, businesses, and customers.

What you\'ll do:
  • Coordinates and oversees all hotel operations, ensuring quality service within the established business plan and budget
  • Inspects facilities and outlets to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Ensures maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner
  • Analyzes financial information; plans and facilitates purchases
  • Develops and maintains a marketing strategy to promote the hotel and services, including food and beverage and business functions
  • Lead the Executive Team utilizing a participative style and effectively communicating with each member, coordinate the operation of each leader\'s department and special projects, and assist in identifying problems and offering solutions
  • Guide and motivate hotel leaders in dealing with the hotel\'s problems and opportunities to best serve the financial interests of the property
  • Assure that all hotel policies and procedures are fully implemented throughout the hotel
  • Represent the hotel within the local community, positioning the hotel as a good corporate citizen that is involved and supportive of community affairs
  • Foster a welcoming work environment in alignment with hotel culture and values
  • Development of an annual operating budget which will serve as an operating plan and define required levels of achievement
  • Assure achievement of the annual budget in revenues, costs, and profits through accounting diligence and expenditure controls, and proficient accounting practices
  • Monthly forecasting of operating staff and cost expenditures
  • Business planning in line with forecasted sales and costs including guidance to department heads
  • Regular review of Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Sales & Marketing department results to identify opportunities, and efficiencies and maximize revenue
  • Conduct constructive and timely performance evaluations with individual Executive Team members
  • Active involvement in employee relations and the monitoring of performance actions for managerial and hourly staff
  • Five or more years of assistant general management or hotel management experience is required
  • Current or previous mid-to-senior-level food and beverage experience preferred
  • Excellent leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a diverse team
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests, staff, and management
  • Proven track record of achieving financial targets, implementing cost control measures, and driving profitability
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions and handle stressful situations with composure
  • Proficient in using restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office and G Suite
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
