Responsibilities may include:



Bag groceries

Operate cash registers and self-checkout registers

Responsible for cash office and customer service counter

Ensure alcohol and tobacco products are sold in accordance with Department of Liquor Control guidelines

Maintain our reputation for friendly and professional service through customer interaction

Stock shelves, maintain organized backstock, manage inventory levels and product variety throughout the entire store to drive sales. Consistently find opportunities to drive sales per square foot throughout the store working with department management or buyers

Complete janitorial tasks, ensure proper cleaning and maintenance schedules are followed in each department of the store for all areas and equipment inside and outside the store

Interview, hire, onboard, and train employees

Oversee and/or complete orders for product or supplies in any department of the store

Maintain a positive and productive work environment

Manage employees in accordance with positional expectations and store policy

Maintain positive and lucrative vendor relations

Improve store procedures to increase efficiency and profitability of daily operations

Oversee scheduling of employees in each department to guarantee scheduling is completed based on store needs. Oversee all employee timesheets to ensure accuracy

Complete employee reviews

Set goals with department management and department buyers to drive sales and improve the success of the business overall

Maintain consistent and transparent communication with the business owners. Disseminate and share information appropriately with store employees

Qualifications:



Previous experience in a grocery-retail managerial role is required

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in basic math for handling financial transactions

Ability to lead and motivate a team

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency

Scheduling requirements:


Our General Manager must be able to consistently work Friday and Saturday morning from 6:00am-4:00pm to cover safe counting responsibilities. Our General Manager's schedule outside of this will be completed based on the needs of the business.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
