The City of Gonzales is seeking a dynamic and experienced
General Manager
to lead and oversee all operations at the Price LeBlanc PACE Center. This role is responsible for strategic planning, staff leadership, community engagement, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with strong organizational and communication skills, committed to fostering community involvement and delivering exceptional services.Essential Job Functions
Facility Management:
Directly manage and oversee all operations at the Price LeBlanc PACE Center.Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement long-term strategies to ensure the center's growth and sustainability.Community Engagement:
Serve as a liaison between city government and community members, engaging with residents, neighborhood groups, and stakeholders. Organize community forums, events, and outreach efforts to solicit feedback and promote civic participation.Policy Development and Advocacy:
Monitor local, state, and federal policies impacting community services and advocate for beneficial initiatives.Data Analysis and Reporting:
Prepare regular reports and presentations for city management and elected officials.Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and policies related to health, safety, accessibility, and confidentiality. Identify and mitigate risks associated with operations.Preferred Qualifications
At least
3 years of progressively responsible experience in event planning and/or banquet operations
. Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.Benefits
