General Manager
Job Summary:
Chanhassen American Legion is a Veteran's organization and its purpose to enhance the well-being of America's veterans, their families, our military, and our communities. We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Supervise day-to-day restaurant and bar operations.
Ensure quality control in food preparation, presentation, and service.
Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth, restaurant events and social media.
Staff Management:
Hire, train, and schedule staff (servers, kitchen staff, bussers), etc.
Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Customer Service:
Address customer complaints and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
Monitor feedback and implement service improvements.
Manage restaurant's image and suggest ways to improve it
Financial Management:
Control costs related to labor, inventory, and supplies.
Acute financial management skills and ability to interpret and Maintain P&L and cost controls in regards to food, beverage, labor and cash flow management.
Inventory & Supply Chain:
Order and maintain inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies.
Prepare and complete inventory reports.
Build and manage relationships with vendors.
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with food safety, customer safety, and current labor laws.
Maintain cleanliness and organization for the entire operation.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Restaurant/Bar/Hospitality manager or similar role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
Understanding of restaurant financials and performance metrics.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software.
Bilingual language (Spanish) is preferred.
Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
Full-time position, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Pay: Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience and will be negotiated.
Job Type: Full-time
Projected Total Compensation: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
