Job Summary


?We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and energetic

General Manager (GM)

to lead our

Duck Donuts

team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven track record in restaurant or retail management, excelling in employee leadership, efficient operations, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role is crucial to the success of our store, as you will be responsible for all day-to-day operations and ensuring we uphold the high standards of the Duck Donuts brand.

Schedule & Compensation



?

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (approximately 40-45 hours per week). Some flexibility may be required to cover occasional needs outside of this core schedule.*

Key Responsibilities



?

Team Leadership & Development



?

Management:

Directly supervise all store personnel, fostering a positive, productive, and respectful work environment. ?

Training & Onboarding:

Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for all new employees, including front-of-house (customer service) and back-of-house (donut production) roles. Ensure ongoing training for the entire staff. ?

Scheduling:

Create and manage weekly staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all operational hours while managing labor costs effectively. ?

Performance Management:

Conduct performance reviews, administer disciplinary actions when necessary, and recognize high-performing employees.

Operations & Inventory Management

Ordering & Inventory:

Take full responsibility for all ordering, including dry goods, perishable ingredients, supplies, and merchandise. Perform regular inventory counts, manage stock levels, and minimize waste (shrinkage). ?

Quality Control:

Ensure all donuts, coffee, and other menu items are prepared and served according to Duck Donuts' specifications and quality standards. ?

Financial Oversight:

Manage the store's cash handling procedures, perform daily reconciliations, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like sales and labor costs. ?

Maintenance:

Ensure the store, equipment, and production areas are clean, fully operational, and compliant with all health and safety regulations.

Customer Service & Brand Standards

Customer Experience:

Lead by example to provide outstanding customer service, quickly and effectively resolve customer complaints, and cultivate a welcoming atmosphere. ?

Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to all local and state health codes, food safety regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications



?

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant, food service, or retail industry. ?

Skills:

Demonstrated expertise in employee management, staff training, inventory control, and efficient ordering procedures. ?

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or a degree is a plus. ?

Attributes:

Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. ?

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform all functions
