Scope of Work:

The primary purpose of this position is to perform general facilities maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings in support of unaccompanied housing operations.

Responsibilities:

Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities, requiring practical skill and basic knowledge in multiple trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Replacing electrical components, including receptacles, switches, wiring, fixtures, and motors. Patching minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings using plaster or compound. Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets. Painting buildings, structures, and equipment as needed. Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks. Replacing damaged wall paneling and floor tiles. Hanging doors and installing or replacing door locks. Replacing broken window panes. Performing general maintenance and basic repairs on equipment and machinery. Identifying and documenting Real Property Inventory items. Ensuring work areas are cleaned and restored after maintenance tasks. Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:



Experience in general maintenance, facilities repair, or a related field. Basic knowledge of multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting. Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals. Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in building and equipment maintenance. Understanding of safety procedures and the ability to comply with OSHA and workplace safety regulations. Ability to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 Public Trust background check, if required. Ability to maintain access to the government worksite. Valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, for operating vehicles or equipment as needed.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:



Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for extended periods. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around potential hazards while using appropriate PPE. Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules as required to meet mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
