Position Summary

--------------------

Perform maintenance and repair of buildings, machinery and electrical and mechanical equipment; coordinate maintenance activities, including personnel, materials and equipment to complete assigned maintenance/site projects and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements

Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.


Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in construction technology;

and


Four (4) years of general construction or facility maintenance experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.



Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.

Operations, services and activities of a general maintenance program Methods and techniques of general construction including both rough and finish carpentry Maintenance and repair methods and techniques related to a wide range of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems including drinking water systems and associated equipment Maintenance procedures related to general construction and maintenance tool and equipment Operational characteristics of a wide variety of general maintenance equipment and tools ARC and acetylene welding methods and techniques Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
