General Labor Department: US Premier Tube Mills Job Status: Full Time FLSA Status: Hourly Reports To: Production Supervisor Amount of Travel Required: None Job Type: Regular, Full Time Positions Supervised: N/A Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 10 to 12 hour days. Position Description Position Summary Our General Labor positions are our Industrial Athletes. Need tubes moved off the table? Need tubes loaded to be powder coated? Need more tubes to be unloaded off the line? Who are the artists making those beautiful hexagon tube bundles? Our general laborers- that\xe2\x80\x99s who! Why do we call them Industrial Athletes- you may ask? These positions are the backbone of our team- they do all the heavy lifting- literally. - Responsible for offloading tube from Mill or Powder coat line tables into bundles
- Verify quality of the tube as you are bundling to prevent quality issues
- Operate banding gun to band bundles together with steel strips
- Continual lifting and pushing throughout shift required 10-50 Lbs (team lifting required for over 50lbs)
- General facility cleaning when operations slow down
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously throughout the shift.
