Our mill is looking for a reliable and hardworking general laborer to join our team. The mill laborer will be responsible for performing various physical labor tasks to support the efficient operation of the mill. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing or production environment, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable working with machinery. POSITION DETAILS:
- Perform physical labor tasks, such as loading and unloading materials, moving materials from one location to another, and cleaning up work areas.
- Assist machine operators and other mill workers in the production process.
- Monitor machines and equipment to ensure they are running properly and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic knowledge of machinery and equipment is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
