General helpers are responsible for assisting with the installation of multiple types of building systems in commercial applications. This person must be able to complete basic support functions as need for multiple trades. This includes mechanical HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, plumbing, etc. General helpers must have the ability to understand instructions from other team members and complete assigned tasks with guidance. General helpers are required to support other trades efficiently and must be willing to learn new tasks daily. They must show a drive to learn and ask questions as needed. All employees of C R Hipp must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, professional attitude and exceptional work ethics to develop trust with the customer and respect from co-workers.
Essential Functions:
Provide assistance as needed to perform daily assigned duties in several trades.- Must be capable of interpreting and understanding direction from co-workers to install mechanical systems.
- Has basic mechanical ability to assist tradesmen as required.
- Strives to learn each trade to develop their skills and abilities.
- Ensures that all work performed and completed is completed with quality standards.
- Has required hand and power tools to satisfactorily complete assigned tasks.
- Completes all required support paperwork/information to assist tradesman with daily reports and report time accurately.
- Attendance and tardiness must always be within company policies.
- Be available for afterhours support for assigned jobs as required.
