Primary Handyman

to join our Maintenance Department. This key role ensures our suites, pools, and property remain in excellent condition for our guests. We are a busy, year-round operation--not seasonal--offering steady work and a supportive team environment.

Position Overview

The

Primary Handyman

is responsible for general repairs, upkeep of the property, and the maintenance of all pool and spa features. This role requires technical skill, strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently while supporting overall maintenance operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Handyman & Property Maintenance

Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks in guest suites, service rooms, and common areas Monitor work orders; communicate progress with the Maintenance Manager, Front Desk, and General Manager Paint, patch surfaces, and repair walls, sidewalks, and fixtures Perform light carpentry or installations (e.g., cabinets, shelving, minor builds) Repair or replace equipment, appliances, and furnishings Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing, or HVAC tasks Identify and report the need for major repairs Keep detailed logs of equipment serial numbers, repairs, and replacements Conduct quarterly inventory of maintenance parts and equipment Perform routine landscaping and outdoor tasks Support emergency duties, including snow removal Ensure safe conditions for guests and employees Maintain cleanliness of maintenance areas (sweeping, dusting, organizing) Participate in after-hours on-call rotation

Pool & Spa Maintenance

Clean and maintain all swimming pools, hot tubs, spas, and waterfalls Perform daily water testing, chemical balancing, netting, scrubbing, and vacuuming Maintain a detailed written daily log of pool/spa maintenance Replace small working parts and assist with major repairs Report unusual issues to management promptly

Qualifications

Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or pool technician Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors year-round Comfortable standing for long periods and wading in knee-high water Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems Strong organizational, record-keeping, and problem-solving skills Reliable, punctual, honest, and able to work independently High school diploma or equivalent Bilingual skills a plus Must pass background check and drug screening
