Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis
Deliver a wide range of dental treatments such as restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery
Utilize dental imaging techniques and interpret results accurately
Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment
Manage patient care by developing treatment plans tailored to individual needs
Document all procedures accurately in medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care
Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to ensure efficient workflow using four-handed dentistry techniques
Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and current best practices in dentistry
Experience
Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment is required
Familiarity with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred
Experience in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, or oral surgery is advantageous but not mandatory
Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical imaging, and medical documentation standards
Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other general dentistry procedures with precision
Knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting
Prior experience working with pediatric patients is a plus but not essential
