Job Overview


Cedar Dental is seeking a passionate and skilled General Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties



Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal therapy, extractions, and prosthodontic treatments. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical and dental histories, performing oral examinations, and utilizing medical imaging techniques. Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment plans effectively with patients and team members. Implement infection control protocols adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and maintain a sterile environment. Use dental software (Open Dental) for documentation of medical records, treatment plans, and billing processes. Provide pediatric dentistry services when applicable, demonstrating patience and understanding for young patients' needs. Collaborate with specialists in oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, or pediatrics as needed for complex cases. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to ensure precise diagnosis and treatment. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental wellness. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards related to infection control, patient privacy (HIPAA), and medical documentation.

Qualifications



Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state dental license with current certification to practice dentistry. Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and infection control procedures. Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus; certification in pediatric dentistry is desirable. Excellent communication skills to clearly explain procedures and foster positive patient relationships. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal patient care. Minimum base salary to start however pay will be determined based on a percentage of collections.

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
