Your Opportunity:



This isn't your typical junior attorney role. We're looking for a legal professional who wants to be more than a document reviewer or research assistant. You'll function as a Deputy General Counsel to one of our partners, gaining unprecedented exposure to high-level strategic decision-making while building your own book of business.

You'll be the trusted right-hand to a partner, handling sophisticated legal matters while developing the business acumen that separates great lawyers from merely good ones. This is legal practice with training wheels removed--you'll have real responsibility, real clients, and real impact from day one.

Key Responsibilities:



Client Management:



Be the Advisor, Not Just the Attorney:

Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring responsive and effective communication. Think beyond legal compliance to business optimization. Manage client expectations, timelines, and deliverables. Proactively check in with clients to maintain satisfaction and identify additional legal needs. Identify legal risks and opportunities before fruition. Translate complex legal concepts into actionable business insights that drive client success.

Business Development & Client Retention:



Identify and pursue new client opportunities through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach. Support the development and execution of business development strategies in collaboration with partners. Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote the firm's services. Prepare client pitch materials, proposals, and presentations as needed. Develop your professional reputation as a subject matter expert in your practice area.

Legal Work:



Draft, review, negotiate and revise legal documents as needed in support of client matters while facilitating business objectives. Handle high-stake sophisticated legal matters across multiple practice areas with appropriate supervision. Conduct legal research that influences major business decisions. Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Your Skills & Qualifications:



Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Admitted to practice law in MI or AZ

4-7 years of legal experience (law firm or in-house); client-facing experience strongly preferred.

Demonstrated interest in business development or prior sales/client management experience is a plus.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines with strong attention to detail.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to grow a book of business.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
