Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

General Contractor Estimator

to join our construction management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive residential and commercial project estimates, managing cost controls, and supporting project bidding processes. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing advanced estimating knowledge and industry best practices to ensure project profitability and success. The position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency with estimating software. Candidates with construction site experience and a background in project management will thrive in this role.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements using tools such as Bluebeam and ProCore. Develop accurate pricing models for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services while maintaining competitive bid proposals. Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate costs and terms effectively. Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process to ensure cost control and profitability. Review contracts and scope of work to ensure all aspects of the project are accurately estimated and aligned with client expectations. Assist in the development of project schedules and resource planning to support effective project management. Support contract negotiations by providing detailed cost analysis and risk assessments. Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, bids, and related documentation for future reference and audits. Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, pricing strategies, and regulatory requirements affecting construction estimating.

Experience

Proven experience in

construction estimating

, with a strong background in

construction management

or related roles. Proficiency with estimating software such as

Bluebeam

Procore

, or similar platforms. Demonstrated expertise in

, and developing competitive bids for various types of construction projects. Knowledge of
