Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile General Worker for our bakery. This role is essential in supporting various bakery operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, contributing to the preparation, transportation, and presentation of high-quality food products.

Responsibilities

Assist in food production processes, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, handling food items with care, following proper food handling procedures. Put away and maintain organization of stock. Package finished products to be delivered to wholesale clients, ensuring they meet presentation standards. Drive our box trucks and vans for pick up and deliveries across Chicagoland and the lower Wisconsin area as needed Provide excellent customer service to customers and bakery staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas. Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.

Skills

Proficient in food handling practices, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met. Experience in a professional bakery/kitchen environment. Driving safely in company vehicles with a sense of urgency. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with various bakery tools and equipment, including knives is a plus. Safely and efficiently use a forklift to load and unload product. Attention to detail.
A regular shift will start between 6am and 8am. As General Labor, your schedule may be changed due to the needs of the business to include shifts that go into the evening or overnight as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
