Job Summary:
The Gate Installer is responsible for the construction, assembly, and installation of residential and commercial gates. This role requires strong skills in measuring, leveling, concrete setting, and general construction practices to ensure gates are installed securely, safely, and to exact specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with fence or gate installation, be comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools, and possess the ability to work independently in outdoor environments.

Essential Job Duties:
Measure and mark locations for posts, gates, and hardware according to project specifications.
Set posts in concrete, ensuring proper depth, alignment, and stability.
Install gates, hinges, latches, and related hardware with precision for smooth operation.
Use levels, measuring tapes, and construction tools to confirm gates are square, plumb, and functional.
Cut, weld, or modify metal or wood materials as required for custom installations.
Operate power tools, digging equipment, saws, and other machinery safely and effectively.
Ensure all work meets company quality standards and safety requirements.
Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, or customer specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
Provide professional customer service on job sites and answer basic questions about installation.
Collect payment upon job completion when required.
Follow all D&D Garage Doors safety policies and procedures.

Essential Job Skills/Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Construction or trade training is a plus.
Valid state driver's license and ability to drive a company vehicle.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
Prior experience in gate, fence, or similar construction installation preferred.
Ability to read tape measures, levels, and construction plans accurately.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Capable of physical activities such as digging, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
