Description: Job ID PT9919 -5004-1578 Position Classification PT Temporary Position Summary The Titan Equity Nourish Network is an organization that engages Detroit Mercy students
in food justice and sustainability initiatives. The TENN Garden Manager will oversee all aspects of the TENN on-campus garden and TENN\xe2\x80\x99s partnerships with urban agricultural organizations in Detroit. MUST be able to work on-site April-August. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist TENN Manager with developing a plan for watering, seeding, weeding, trellising, and other related activities
- Develop a seeding and transplant schedule for the garden
- Assist TENN Manager with developing a site plan for the garden
- Assist the TENN Manager in planning volunteer days
- Coordinate and lead specified volunteer days in the garden \xe2\x80\x93 schedule to be determined in conversation with TENN Manager
- Assist with garden maintenance
- Relevant contacts
- Best practices for volunteers
- Best practices for growing
- Ideas for other urban agricultural partnerships
- Interest in gardening, agriculture, and food systems (some gardening experience preferred)
- Strong leadership and teambuilding skills
- Good ability to stay organized and manage time well
- Enjoys working with others
- Enjoys working outside and don\xe2\x80\x99t mind getting their hands dirty
