A1 McDuffie Sanitation is hiring motivated and dependable
Garbage Truck Hoppers
to join our waste collection team. Hoppers play a critical role in keeping our community clean by working alongside the driver to collect and load residential waste. They are responsible for picking up trash cans from the curb, emptying them into the truck, and returning them neatly to their place. This position requires physical strength, endurance, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.Responsibilities
Ride safely on the back of the garbage truck while traveling between stops. Lift waste into the garbage trucks. Return cans neatly to the curb after collection. Assist the driver with route efficiency and safety awareness. Maintain a steady work pace throughout the day. Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to lift, push, and pull trash cans repeatedly throughout the day. Comfortable with heavy physical work and working outdoors in all weather. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Prior outdoor or physical labor experience a plus, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
