FURNACE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

About The Program:

The Furnace Development Program is a two year program training engineers to be Furnace Leaders within Owens Corning manufacturing plants, Insulating Systems Business, and Composites Solutions Business.

Program participants will be mentored by experienced technical professionals, and you will be challenged by the diverse technical and leadership opportunities found in a manufacturing environment to develop skills such as:

Safety leadership

Supervisory leadership

Furnace operations and other technologies

Operational systems and management

Total Productive Maintenance methodologies

In addition, you will develop the following skills necessary to be an effective manufacturing leader:

Troubleshoot and problem solve

Creativity

Customer driven

Analytics & data-based decision making

Works effectively and cooperatively with others

Elevates performance of self and others

Inspirational leadership

At the conclusion of the Furnace Development Program, you are placed in a full-time assignment as a Furnace Engineer or Leader at a North American Owens Corning manufacturing plant.

Seeking an enthusiastic candidate who will take initiative to drive results, execute goals, and creatively navigate through tasks. Demonstrates a desire to develop technical and leadership capabilities, in a manufacturing environment, while furthering their career and long-term impact on Owens Corning.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor\'s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or relevant major and/or field

Previous internships/co-ops in a manufacturing setting

Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations

Willingness and flexibility to relocate (assistance provided)

LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENT:

Participants are based at various manufacturing sites in the US.
